Hi Hector. Thank you for your question.

The crushing chamber of cone crusher is a space between two moving parts, that is, the space between fixed cone lining plate and moving cone lining plate. That is to say, the upper part of the crushing chamber is the feeding space, and the lower part is the discharging space. Therefore, the cone crusher can only be filled with materials in the crushing chamber, instead of filling materials in the feeding space on upper edge of moving and fixed cone lining plate. Failure to correctly understand the overcrowded feeding will lead to damage of crusher.

Why should be overcrowded feeding?

When the crushing chamber is full, the crushing efficiency is the highest.

In order to ensure uniform wear and tear of lining plate, crusher should keep full feeding.

The maximum capacity of crusher and the most economical wear of lining plate depend on the suitable material feeding quantity and the uniform distribution of feeding materials around the crushing chamber.

The above three points illustrate the importance of overcrowded feeding for cone crusher. Not only guaranteeing the crushing efficiency, but also ensure the uniform wear and tear of lining plate.
