Hi Trent. Thank you for your question.

It is very important to set up a clearance adjusting device between the grinding roll and grinding disc of the metal silicon grinder. There are some reasons as follow.

(1) The grinding mechanism of the metal-silicon grinder shows that a certain thickness of material layer must be kept between the grinding disc and the grinding roller, so that the special feature of high-pressure loading can be exerted. The thickness of the material layer is related to the feed quantity and the adjustment value of the disc-roller gap.

(2) In order to keep the roller from contacting with the grinding disc, reduce the wear and vibration between the metals, and make the metal-silicon mill start under no-load, there should also be a gap adjustment device. This kind of adjusting device can be adjusted by adjusting screw or adjusting screw. It is noteworthy that they should be able to withstand the maximum hydraulic load in addition to the adjustment of the mill roll stroke.
